About The Position

The Bakery Manager will oversee all job functions within the department, creating a "team" atmosphere. This role involves motivating, coaching, and directing team members, as well as holding them accountable for their work performance. Key responsibilities include ordering, inventory maintenance, maintaining daily logs, quality control, reducing shrink, and achieving gross profit goals. The manager will also be involved in production tasks such as making sandwiches, using the meat slicer, baking bakery products using the oven, making salads, stocking various areas including freezers, walk-ins, bakery tables, cheese cases, and HMR cases. Maintaining sanitary conditions through cleaning, packaging and labeling products, and training new team members are also essential functions. The manager is responsible for department safety and adhering to all company policies.

  • Detailed cleaning of entire bakery deli department as outlined on detailed cleaning lists.
  • Cleaning rotisserie with authorized oven cleaner.
  • Packaging & labeling products.
  • Training of new team members to the department.
  • Manage department safety.
  • Abide by all company policies as stated in the employee handbook.
