Administrative tasks include completing and monitoring daily logs, purchase reports, sales and labor reports, and maintaining accurate department records. A significant part of the role involves supervising, motivating, directing, training, and participating in the hiring of Bakery Department personnel, monitoring performance, and recommending personnel actions. The manager communicates sales goals, resolves associate complaints, and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures. Customer interaction includes assisting with special orders, making product suggestions, handling relations, and resolving complaints. The role also requires ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of the department and equipment, attending training, and implementing emergency procedures.
