About The Position

This role is for internal candidates and focuses on training to become a Bakery Manager. It involves providing excellent customer service, training and supervising associates, maintaining performance standards, and overseeing various store operations. The position requires adherence to government and company regulations and is situated in a store environment with potential exposure to cold temperatures, cleaning chemicals, and equipment hazards. It is a fast-paced role that requires managing multiple priorities and stressful situations.

Requirements

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables as they are presented.
Ability to do simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
Ability to understand and follow written, verbal or demonstrated instructions.
Ability to write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing.
Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of less than 20 inches to less than 20 feet, with color vision and depth perception.
Ability to read the descriptions on the boxes and shelf tags to order product and place merchandise in the proper locations.
Ability to work shifts varying in length and times, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Grocery associates.
Maintain performance standards.
Supervise and participate in all Grocery, Dairy and Frozen activities.
Supervise the store in the absence of the Store Director or Asst. Store Director.
Monitor and enforce all Government and Company regulations.
