About The Position

This role is for internal candidates and focuses on training to become a Bakery Manager. Starting rates may vary based on factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits may include healthcare, PTO/Vacation pay, and retirement benefits (401(k) eligibility).

Requirements

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables as they are presented.
  • Ability to do simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
  • Ability to understand and follow written, verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing.
  • Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of less than 20 inches to less than 20 feet, with color vision and depth perception.
  • Ability to read the descriptions on the boxes and shelf tags to order product and place merchandise in the proper locations.
  • Ability to work shifts varying in length and times, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
  • Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Grocery associates; maintain performance standards; supervise and participate in all Grocery, Dairy and Frozen activities.
  • Supervise store in the absence of Store Director or Asst. Store Director.
  • Monitor and enforce all Government and Company regulations.
