About The Position

Requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Enthusiastic approach to work with strong organizational skills
- Must be responsible and possess great leadership skills
- Experience managing a team in a retail environment
- Kitchen/food preparation experience required
- Previous retail bakery experience is an asset
- Practical working knowledge of daily retail operations
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Available to work on a very flexible schedule with the ability to work up to 50 hours weekly

Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent customer experience
- Provide training, leadership and direction to Team Members within the departments, in the development and achievement of operational and budgetary goals including, sales, margins, expenses, inventory management and shrinkage control
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the Bakery/Deli Departments including scheduling of Team Members, ordering, receiving, merchandising, and accurate pricing of products for the counter set -up in order to ensure that an adequate selection is available
- Bake a variety of products and engage in light food preparation
- Prepare a wide variety of deli meats, cheeses, party trays, fresh salads, deli sandwiches and hot and cold entrees
- Ensure that all Team Members always maintain the highest levels of sanitation and cleanliness while adhering to all Food Safety guidelines, procedures and requirements
- Participate in the development and implementation of business plans that include growth targets and profitability, as well as create and execute fresh merchandising initiatives
- Responsible for the preparation, completion, and final approval of performance reviews and development action plans of all Team Members
- Other duties, as assigned
