About The Position

Lunardi’s Markets is seeking warm, friendly, and reliable individuals for the Bakery Clerk position. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals with an eye for detail who enjoy interacting with people and working as part of a team. The Bakery Clerk will provide excellent customer service, multitask between daily production and customer service, monitor stock levels, and ensure food safety. They will also take special orders for events and holidays and be willing to learn how to make specialized bakery products. Safety and honesty are paramount in this role.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service, address the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner.
Multitask between daily production and customer service.
Monitor stock levels in the backroom, display cases, and tables.
Stock and rotate products (FIFO method) and check expiration dates to ensure food safety throughout the department.
Take orders for events and holidays to meet customer requests with attention paid to special details.
Learn how to make specialized products such as fruit tarts, eclairs, and cannoli.
Work with box cutters, knives, cash registers, espresso machines, ovens, mixers, etc. in a safe manner.
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customers and company policies.
Protect the safety of oneself, co-workers, and customers at all times, and reports safety-related accidents and incidents to management immediately.
