About The Position

Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a part-time Bakery Clerk at our Food Store in Swan River, MB. Co-op does business differently. Our team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners. Through the work that we do, we help to build, fuel, feed and grow Western Canadian communities together.

Requirements

You are strongly service oriented, motivated, and capable of serving customers in a courteous, efficient manner.
You have the capability to operate the required equipment within the Bakery.
You are available for early mornings (5 a.m. start) to ensure daily fresh baked items.
You’re honest and trustworthy, results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver work that best meets our team and customers’ needs.

Responsibilities

Utilize the production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake.
Follow established Co-op procedures to produce high quality baked goods.
Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
Properly prepare, package and price baked goods.
Display and rotate baked goods as per established guidelines.
Process bakery orders from customers, prepare accurate invoices for those goods and provide customer service in line with the Co-op brand.
Observe and maintain sanitation standards and practices, maintain tools and equipment, and keep work area clean and neat.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
