About The Position

The Bakery Clerk II upholds high service standards by preparing, packaging, and labeling guest products according to orders. The role manages production of artisan, pastry, and/or popcorn products as applicable to the retail location, including baking specialty breads and pastries, popping and packaging specialty popcorn, and keeping bakery products stocked, fresh, and appealing. The position provides exceptional guest service and ensures the quality and freshness of bakery products. The Bakery Clerk maintains appealing displays, offers freshly prepared samples, uses suggestive selling, and helps create a fun, friendly atmosphere. The role also involves understanding and following health, safety, and sanitation regulations; taking special orders; answering the telephone; and assisting guests at the counter.

Responsibilities

Prepare, package, and label guest products according to orders.
Manage production of artisan, pastry, and/or popcorn products as applicable to the retail location.
Bake specialty artisan breads and pastry products, and pop and package specialty popcorn flavors when applicable.
Ensure bakery products are fully stocked, fresh, and appealing to guests.
Provide exceptional guest service and maintain superior product quality and freshness.
Create appealing product displays to attract guests.
Engage guests with freshly prepared product samples and suggestive selling.
Help create a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Take special orders, answer the telephone, and assist guests at the counter.
