This is a full-time, hourly position with a comprehensive benefits package. The Bakery Clerk is responsible for preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pies, rolls, muffins, and breads. They will also inform customers about bakery products and services, and encourage sales by offering samples. This role involves using equipment such as ovens and proofers, and utilizing store intercoms for promotions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/or carry up to 50 pounds
- Must have TB Clearance
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
Nice To Haves
- Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred
- Candidates with open availability will be prioritized for next steps
Responsibilities
- Preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising cakes, pies, rolls, muffins, breads and other baked goods
- Informing customers about bakery products and services
- Offering customers samples of bakery products to increase sales
- Working with equipment like ovens and proofers
- Using store intercoms to announce promotions and weekly specials
