About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is a locally owned and operated company with over 75 years of history in Hawaii. This is an hourly, part-time position (24+ hours per week) where Meat Cutters are responsible for maintaining well-stocked meat cases with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products. Their duties include receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat department products. They also order and stock prepackaged deli and frozen food items within the meat department. Key responsibilities include ensuring proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize freshness and minimize waste, as well as assisting customers with special requests and answering product-related questions. Meat cutters utilize equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Must successfully pass apprentice / training program.
Must have TB Clearance.
Must comply with all company policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the meat cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality meat and poultry products.
Receiving, stocking, cutting, grinding, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising meat department products.
Ordering and stocking prepackaged deli items and frozen food products that fall under the meat department.
Ensuring proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste.
Assisting customers with special requests and answering questions about meat products and services.
