About The Position

COBS Bread is seeking a passionate Baker to join their team at the Oxford Market location. This is a full-time position with a 3:00 am start, including weekends. Requirements

• Must be available to work weekends and statutory holidays.
• Must have your own transportation as shifts start earlier than public transit is available.
• Positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong sense of urgency.
• Continuous standing/walking for all tasks.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 9 kg., occasional lifting and carrying up to 22 kg.
• Frequent turning and reaching.
• Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping.
• Occasional pushing, pulling and some forward bending.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

• Previous baking and/or customer service experience is an asset, but it’s not required.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small team to bake products from scratch early each morning, following carefully crafted recipes.
• Read production schedules and recipes, measure and mix ingredients, mold and shape dough, and process everything through the ovens.
• Keep the bakery clean.
• Provide delightful customer service.
