About The Position

Bashas' Bakers execute a wide variety of tasks throughout the Bakery department. They contribute to production and merchandising, maintain food safety and sanitation, and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for any position that serves alcohol.
• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Mix, weigh, proof, bake, fry, decorate, finish, and merchandise quality bakery products using Bashas' recipes.
• Load and unload ovens and use appropriate baking temperatures and durations for different products.
• Scale cakes and cupcakes, and ice sweet rolls, breads, cookies, and other products.
• Assist with ordering and receiving bakery products and supplies.
• Control product inventory, out-of-stocks, shrink, and supplies.
• Use the scale printer machine and ensure weights and pricing are correct.
• Monitor product pricing, signage, placement, shelf tags, and shelf signage.
• Keep benches, production and storage areas, walk-in coolers, and freezers clean, neat, and orderly.
• Help wrap, box, weigh, slice, finish, and stock bakery products, rotating them as necessary to maintain quality and safety.
• Display goods according to bakery department and merchandising guidelines.
• Help decorators personalize and ice cakes, donuts, sweet rolls, and other products.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
