About The Position

Schlotzsky's in Fargo is looking for a baker. Bakers are responsible for baking our Baked Fresh Daily breads and pizza crusts. The bread and crust quality must meet strict guidelines for appearance and texture; therefore, Bakers must follow recipe standards and consistently produce quality products.

Requirements

  • Must at least 18 years of age in order to operate certain bakery equipment.
  • Able to work accurately and rapidly and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and any shift needed.
  • Must be able multitask to switch roles quickly and handle multiple priorities during the shift.
  • Arrive and depart from work meeting all uniform and grooming standards.
  • Working around extremely hot equipment and handling hot pans while wearing baking mitts.
  • Standing, stooping, kneeling, walking, wiping, reaching, bending and lifting are required actions throughout a shift. Must be able to lift up to 50#.

Responsibilities

  • Will Work Diligently and with Flexibility.
  • Consistently produce a high-quality bakery product.
  • Keep Freezer product in order and sealed after each use.
  • Properly clean all dishes and pans throughout shift.
  • Be extremely accurate with weights and measurements for all recipe items.
  • Ensuring all baked goods are completed on time for opening.
  • Coordinate with Catering Manager for Catering Orders.
  • Ensure appropriate storage of baking utensils and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment.
  • Uses First In First Out (FIFO) rule to ensure proper rotation of Stock.
