About The Position

Collegiate Hotel Group® is seeking a Baker/Cook to join Hotel 1928 and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Previous experience as a cook, baker, or in a culinary environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation, baking techniques, and health & safety guidelines
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a positive, collaborative attitude
  • Commitment to exceeding guest expectations
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high sanitation and food safety standards in all baking and cooking areas.
  • Ensure organized and clean storage areas for all ingredients, baked goods, and prepared foods.
  • Properly handle, store, and label all ingredients and finished products at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Rotate inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
  • Prepare baked goods, pastries, breakfast items, lunch, dinner, and banquet dishes according to hotel specifications and recipes.
  • Collaborate with management to create daily specials, seasonal menu items, and baked creations.
  • Maintain clean and orderly prep stations, storage areas, and ingredient par levels.
  • Perform other culinary duties as assigned by management.
