About The Position

Creative Dining Services is looking for a full-time Baker located on the Dordt University campus in Sioux Center, IA. This position operates Monday - Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Baker is responsible for ensuring high-quality, properly seasoned, and nutritious food is provided throughout the operation in a fiscally responsible and safe manner. The role involves working cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program as needed, making each day new and exciting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years cooking experience
  • ServSafe Certification

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service
  • Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal
  • Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production
