About The Position
Super 1 Foods is a family-owned and operated business founded in 1985. Bakers prepare baked goods and display them in the bakery department. They operate bakery equipment, wrap and price items, decorate cakes and pastries, stock displays, and assist customers. Bakers also maintain a clean work area and follow store safety rules and standards for sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene. The position has physical demands that include prolonged standing and repetitive tasks, along with occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for employees with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Requirements
- Ability to stand in place for long periods and walk in the store.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
- Fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination to operate equipment.
- Full range of upper-body motion to lift stock.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
- Functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and operate equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Prepare baked goods and display them in the bakery department.
- Operate mixers, ovens, scales, slicers, and fryers.
- Wrap and price bakery items.
- Ice pastries and decorate cakes.
- Fill displays.
- Assist customers with purchases.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow store safety rules.
- Adhere to sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards.
