Baker II - Grand Canyon South Rim
About The Position
This position is for a Baker II at the Grand Canyon South Rim, operating within the Food & Beverage team. The primary function is to prepare baked items for dining rooms and special functions. The role is full-time and year-round, with a pay rate of $18.05 per hour. The typical schedule is 40 hours per week, 5 days a week, and may include weekends, evenings, and holidays. The Grand Canyon National Park Lodges operate 6 hotels, 7 retail shops, and various restaurants and dining facilities in the historic Grand Canyon Village. Employees are considered stewards of the park and play an essential role in providing hospitality to guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in volume production
- Ability to work on several tasks at once in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Follows written and verbal direction well
- Flexible schedule, ability to rotate between AM and PM shifts as needed
- Ability to scale up/down recipe quantities
- Knowledge of recipe reading and measurements
- Constantly: Stand, walk, handle, reach outward, bend, lift/carry up to 20lbs, push/pull up to 25lbs.
- Frequently: Reach above the shoulder, squat/kneel, lift/carry up to 50lbs, push/pull up to 40lbs.
- Occasionally: Sit, climb, crawl, lift/carry up to 100lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs.
