About The Position

This is an entry-level position where the apprentice will learn to prepare baked goods under supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, stocking display cases, preparing ingredients and baked goods, and following health standards. The role also involves some administrative tasks like preparing invoices and updating labels and prices. Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Requirements

• Ability to read at an eighth-grade level.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisions).
• Ability to write notes, instructions, orders, invoices and descriptions of cake orders.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Update labels and product prices.
• Clean the work area and bakery equipment.
• Keep display cases clean and full of product.
• Place the right products in the display cases.
• Prepare the baking oven under supervision.
• Use equipment (mixers, fryers, etc.) under supervision.
• Make bolillo, Conchas, cookies and donuts under supervision.
• Put the finishing touches on the bread (sugar, icing, decorations, etc.).
• Follow health standards.
• Prepare invoices.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Keep the work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards.
• Report faulty equipment and hazards to management.
• Perform any other task assigned by the store manager.
