Bake Fresh Favorites Members Come Back For As a Baker and Packager Associate at Sam's Club, you'll be part of bringing a fresh bakery experience to life from day one. From warm breads and pastries to specialty items members bring home for everyday meals, celebrations, and gatherings, your work will help create the quality, freshness, and excitement families look forward to sharing. In this role, you'll spend your day baking products according to recipes, wrapping and labeling merchandise, maintaining freshness and food safety standards, and supporting a high-volume bakery while delivering a great member experience.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Have a passion for fresh food and take pride in quality

Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Are comfortable following recipes and food safety guidelines
Can multitask and stay organized while handling multiple responsibilities
Are able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Are available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays
Bring a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period

Responsibilities

Prepare bakery merchandise based on daily production needs, following recipes, make-up instructions, and company standards
Wrap, label, and store merchandise to maintain freshness, food safety, and Cold Chain compliance
Ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise
Use hand-held technology to support production planning, inventory, and ordering decisions
Assist members with bakery orders and provide friendly, knowledgeable service across the club as needed
Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked work areas and displays
Operate, maintain, and sanitize baking equipment safely and effectively
Collaborate with associates to keep the bakery running smoothly and be flexible to support other areas as needed
