Deliver Quality Cuts Members Can Count On As a Meat Cutter and Wrapper at Sam's Club, you'll do more than prepare fresh meats, you'll help bring quality meals to members' tables. From carefully crafted cuts to well-stocked displays, your skill and attention to detail will help members feel confident about what they're taking home to their families. In this role, you'll spend your day cutting, grinding, wrapping, and trimming fresh meat (including boneless cuts), maintaining freshness and inventory levels, and supporting a high-volume environment while delivering a great member experience.

Responsibilities

  • Cut, grind, wrap, trim, and package meat products (including boneless cuts) according to established standards
  • Demonstrate knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety, sanitation, and inventory management
  • Maintain quality and date control standards; ensure meat products are properly packaged, labeled, and stored
  • Secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminate waste and reduce shrink through proper handling
  • Use hand-held technology to make in-the-moment decisions about production and product quality
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize meat-cutting equipment safely and effectively
  • Assist members with product selection and purchasing decisions; provide friendly, knowledgeable service
  • Collaborate with associates to keep the meat department running smoothly and be flexible to support other areas as needed
  • Maintaining a positive attitude by smiling, greeting and thanking members
  • Providing exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, and member-ready area
