About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Responsibilities include placing customer purchases into bags, placing filled bags in carts, and carrying customer purchases to cars. The role also requires retrieving carts from the parking lot, picking up litter in and around the store, stocking bags, emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, and returning abandoned merchandise to shelves. Additional duties may include reading shelf tags and verifying prices.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• Bending
• Stooping
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time
• Able to work outside in seasonal weather
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers

• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise
