This position is responsible for the set up and operating bag machine and associated equipment to safely produce our final product while adhering to the production schedule, set-up instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications, etc. Liberty Tire Recycling is a high-growth company and the premier provider of tire recycling services in North America with operations throughout the United States and Canada. Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, production instructions and electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical mechanical aptitude with an ability to troubleshoot general mechanical and electrical component issues.
  • Familiarity with "Root Cause Analysis" and being able to watch machinery and differentiate between symptoms and causes.
  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • 2-3 years proven experience in an industrial operations environment, required.
  • Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs., required.
  • Working through various weather conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge and understanding of pneumatic systems, preferred.
  • Experience operating automatic bagging equipment including automatic bagger and bagging scales, preferred.
  • Experience successfully operating a forklift, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully operate the mulch line bagging equipment while complying with all safety standards, regulations and operating procedures.
  • Successfully operate the mulch line bagging equipment following company standards and settings while maximizing production and minimizing downtime.
  • Successfully execute machine set-ups, start-ups, changeovers, steady state operations and preventative maintenance (PM’s).
  • Conducts validation testing to ensure all finished products comply with company packaging and quality control standards and guidelines.
  • Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of PLC’s and VFD’s used to operate bagging equipment.
  • Monitors and examines equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoots equipment stoppages, breakdowns and downtime root causes.
  • Notifies Plant Manager or Lead Maintenance Technician of any equipment or quality issues or problems.
  • Accurately enters, documents and maintains all production paperwork and KPI metrics including daily and hourly production rates, downtime root causes and the associated downtime minutes.
  • Performs all required equipment cleaning and maintains a clean, safe working environment.
  • Participates in training, retraining and continual improvement processes and methods.
  • Follows and complies with all company safety standards, work rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
