Covia is looking for an immediate Bag Plant Operator for our Best Sand plant in Chardon, OH on afternoon or night shift.

Requirements

High School Diploma required
Ability to work with normal supervision
Communication skills
Operating knowledge of the Bag Plant
Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Basic mechanical skills
Basic knowledge of testing procedures

Responsibilities

Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety regulations and safe work practices and assuring all equipment has been inspected and is in a safe working condition
Perform duties and responsibilities as defined in applicable Procedures and Work Instructions
Perform daily safety checks on Bag Plant equipment
Perform routine maintenance on Bag Plant equipment
Keep the Bag Plant area clean and in safe working order
Perform regular testing according to posted procedures
Assist other plant areas as requested
Load trucks with bagged products
Document loading activities
Haul sand from storage bins as appropriate
