About The Position

Bring your passion to Texas Health So We Are Better + Together. This role is responsible for photographing individuals and creating security badges in the security card access system. This includes inputting and updating information, importing and exporting cardholder photos, and creating, modifying, and assigning card access levels to badges. The specialist will promptly respond to user requests, provide support to employees and staff with badge requests, verify requests for badge access, and assign access levels as needed. They will also troubleshoot security badge issues and run weekly badge access reports. Additionally, the role involves enforcing policies, rules, and regulations, including verifying employee/contractor government-issued IDs before issuing security badges and communicating current badge access policies. The specialist will also assist with departmental special projects, such as maintaining the vehicle parking database, assisting security management and HR with investigations by providing reports, and ordering department-specific supplies as needed. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is Required.
  • 3 years of Clerical Experience is Required.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner on the phone and in person, and the demonstrated use of good verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with peers, executive and medical staff, department heads and staff in other departments, patients/families, vendors and other customers in a manner that represents Texas Health positively.

  • Must possess proven analytical skills.
  • Must possess excellent working knowledge of computers and Microsoft software applications, security card access software.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of Experience with Security Card Access Systems Preferred.
  • 1 or more years of Experience with Badging/Access Control.
