About The Position

This is a Part-Time position for a Badge Technician and Parking Engineer. The role involves performing identification badging for tenants and contractors accessing Federal Buildings, providing rosters and reports on badge holders and background checks, and ensuring the security of the badging room. Responsibilities also include granting and revoking garage access, managing access permissions on employee badges, collecting parking fees, processing payments, providing facility information, addressing complaints, monitoring the parking facility for maintenance and safety issues, performing clerical tasks, and adding or removing signs.

Requirements

  • Shall be certified by the Physical Access System (PAC).
  • Familiar with the identification of badging software and all applications that are currently installed.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform identification badging for the tenants and contractors accessing Federal Buildings.
  • Provide a roster by tenant and/or contractor of all badge holders.
  • Provide reports to reflect current and expired background checks.
  • Ensure the Badging Room remains secure with the locking of the computers.
  • Meet with the COR (during normal enrollment hours) once a month to go over reports, emergency codes, access levels, and any updates to the system.
  • Grant and revoke garage access to authorized personnel.
  • Update and manage access permissions on employee badges.
  • Collect parking fees from employees.
  • Process payments accurately and provide receipts.
  • Provide directions and information about facility policies.
  • Address and resolve any complaints or issues promptly and courteously.
  • Monitor the condition of the parking facility and report any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Perform general clerical tasks, including filing, data entry, and record-keeping.
  • Add or remove signs upon request.
