About The Position

This individual will be primarily working as a line worker. Additionally, they will be rotating and relieving the primary bagging machine operator as needed. This is a full-time, year-round position working the day shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to read and understand Stemilt pack schedules.
Oracle and Discoverer capabilities.
Intermediate computer skills.
Must be able to read, speak and write English.
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintenance of bagging machine, including cleaning as necessary.
Must learn programs and settings to maximize efficiency.
Direct crew of 2 to 6 employees packing bags from machine.
Displays an excellent ability to communicate.
Maintains pace with production line.
Maintains efficient and clean work area.
Know Stemilt fruit grades.
Consistently striving to improve bagging capabilities of the machine.
Must be able to compile daily data and send to appropriate groups.
Utilize the full spectrum of tools at hand to maximize grower returns.
Mechanically inclined.
May encompass other duties than those listed.
