Backup and Storage Admin
About The Position
This role requires hands-on experience with various storage systems including HPE Primera, NetApp ONTAP, PURE Storage FlashArray, and Hitachi VSP. The administrator will be responsible for managing storage, ensuring efficient space allocation, and integrating hosts. A strong understanding of SAN/NAS protocols and proficiency in storage management tools and CLI operations are essential. The role also involves coordinating with vendors for issue resolution and upgrades, performing storage migrations, analyzing storage performance, and managing disaster recovery drills. Experience with Cisco switches and scripting for automation is also required.
Requirements
- HPE Primera, NetApp ONTAP, PURE Storage FlashArray, and Hitachi VSP.
- SAN/NAS protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS).
- Storage management tools and CLI operations.
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash).
- Hitachi products administration (G800,VSP,G400,HUSVM) for space allocation/de-allocation, host integration.
- NAS administration with space allocation via NFS/CIFS protocols, HNAS replication, Failover, failback expertise.
- Administration and troubleshooting knowledge on Cisco switches.
- Host-based storage migration using TSM / TC / HUR implementation.
- Storage performance analysis knowledge using various tools (Hitachi Tuning Manager, Performance reporter).
- Management and administration for middle and high-end storages & Storage virtualization.
- DR Drill Activities in block and NAS storage arrays.
- Local and remote replications (SI, TrueCopy and HUR).
- CCI servers and HORCM scripts for replication.
- Identifying errors using logs in Block and NAS arrays and collecting dumps for issue analysis.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience with HPE Primera, NetApp ONTAP, PURE Storage FlashArray, and Hitachi VSP.
- Strong understanding of SAN/NAS protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS).
- Proficiency in storage management tools and CLI operations.
- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Coordinating with Vendor in fixing the Critical/Major issues and upgrades.
- Strong administration of Hitachi products (G800,VSP,G400,HUSVM) Storages for space allocation/de-allocation, host integration etc.
- Administration of NAS with space allocation via NFS/CIFS protocols, HNAS replication, Failover, failback expertise.
- Strong administration and troubleshooting knowledge on Cisco switches.
- Perform host-based storage migration using TSM / TC / HUR implementation.
- Strong Storage performance analysis knowledge using various tools (Hitachi Tuning Manager, Performance reporter).
- Manage and administration for all kinds of middle and high-end storages & Storage virtualization Experience.
- Strong experience in DR Drill Activities in both block and NAS storage arrays.
- Experience in local and remote replications (SI, TrueCopy and HUR), Managed CCI servers and HORCM scripts for replication.
- Identifying errors using logs in both Block and NAS arrays and collecting dumps for issue analysis.
