The System Storage Admin will be responsible for engineering systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs. This role involves installing and rebuilding existing servers, configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage according to standards and requirements. The position requires expertise in virtualization platforms, storage management, and system monitoring, including backup and recovery. The admin will also support infrastructure automation tools, manage system inventory, and handle network equipment. Additionally, the role involves maintaining security patches, performing daily system monitoring, ensuring data integrity and availability, conducting regular security monitoring, performing daily backup operations, managing file archival and purging, creating/changing/deleting user accounts, and providing Tier III support. Maintenance tasks include applying OS patches, upgrading administrative tools, configuring new services, managing and deploying instances of various environments (Jirra, Git, LDAP, Jenkins, VMWare), upgrading system software, maintaining procedures, performing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, resource optimization, and configuring CPU, memory, and disk partitions. After-hours and weekend support may be required.
