About The Position

Responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates process efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience through customer engagement, a clean and organized store, and role modeling exceptional customer service. The position requires availability at 5 a.m. and includes coordinating truck delivery and merchandise flow, training and mentoring Associates, maintaining backroom organization and safety, supporting store programs, and partnering with management.

Requirements

Available to work at 5 a.m.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Able to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
Able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
Able to train others.
1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan and prioritize tasks as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate priorities and progress accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
