TJ Maxx - Backroom Associate
About The Position
The Backroom Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Responsibilities include preparing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising and recovery standards, supporting store operations, and contributing to a positive and safe store culture. The position is located at TJ Maxx Store 1038 in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. Starting pay is $13.50–$14.00 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work in multiple store areas when cross-trained to support business needs.
