About The Position
The Backroom Associate supports store operations and helps deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position includes processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising and recovery standards, supporting store cleanliness and safety, and assisting with customer transactions and loyalty programs. The associate contributes to a positive store culture and participates in shrink reduction and other store programs.

Responsibilities
- Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
