About The Position

The Backroom Associate/Unloader supports store operations and customer experience by processing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining an organized and clean store, and following operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards. The role may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs and includes customer-facing responsibilities such as assisting customers, processing purchases and returns, and promoting credit and loyalty programs.

Responsibilities

• Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
