About The Position

Park Paving Ltd. is seeking experienced Backhoe / Skid Steer Operators for the upcoming 2026 road construction season. This is a full-time seasonal position offering a competitive wage and benefits. The role involves operating heavy machinery for material movement and construction tasks, as well as performing general labor duties as needed.

Requirements

Experienced Backhoe / Skid Steer Operator
Valid driver’s license
Strong drive to contribute to the team's success
Ability to maintain a safety-minded and high accountability work culture
Driving record free of major infractions
Must pass a medical/fitness exam

Responsibilities

Ensure "pre-trips" and all Daily Equipment Checklists are completed daily and any equipment concerns are addressed to your foreman.
Complete all daily maintenance on equipment required for continued safe functioning.
Efficiently move material: dumping, placing, and loading of material into trucks.
Haul trailers, equipment, cement, or construction materials, in accordance with all safe work practices and legal regulations.
Perform general laborer work: digging, shoveling, raking, hammering pins, sweeping, operating small compaction gear (jumping jacks, tampers, etc.), using a concrete chop saw, and other labor activities associated with constructing the required project.
Placement of construction materials (by hand or use of equipment).
Setup, check, and compact granular base materials to meet construction specifications required for the project.
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
Raise and lower catch basins, manholes, and water valves, as required.
