Skid Steer Operator
About The Position
This is a full-time, mid-level position for a Skid Steer Operator located at 15700 Co Rd HH, Las Animas, CO 81054, within the Construction / Site Work / Cemetery Development industry. The role involves operating a skid steer and other light equipment safely and efficiently, performing grading, material movement, and site preparation. The operator will also assist with excavation, layout, and setting of headstones, and support the crew with manual labor including raking, shoveling, and cleanup. The position requires following site plans, layout lines, and supervisor direction, maintaining awareness of grade tolerances and finish requirements, conducting daily equipment inspections, and adhering to all company safety policies and jobsite protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating skid steer or similar equipment
- Ability to perform both equipment operation and physical labor
- Experience with grading and finish work preferred
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices
- Ability to follow direction and work effectively within a crew
Nice To Haves
- Experience working on cemetery or headstone installation projects
- Familiarity with fine grading and precision work
- Basic knowledge of site layout and elevations
