About The Position

Red Arch Solutions is seeking a Backend Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD on a priority contract. The position will support the development, testing, and quality assurance of backend software systems in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate has foundational experience with Java, C++, or Python, Git, SQL/PostgreSQL, AWS, and uses tools like Jira and Confluence to collaborate and produce technical documentation. This is a Hybrid TELEWORK position, with up to 16 hours per week dependent on tasking.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Experience supporting development and execution of test procedures for software components.
Experience generating technical documentation.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Experience with Amazon Web Services.
Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience ensuring quality control of developed and modified software.
Experience with the following technologies: Git, Java, C++, or Python, Relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), SQL.

Responsibilities
