Backend Software Developer (Node.js / Python)
About The Position
We are seeking a Backend Software Developer with 5+ years of hands-on design and development experience. The role involves writing reusable, testable, and efficient code, with a focus on API design and development using NodeJS and Python. Familiarity with frameworks like ExpressJS and Flask is essential. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), understand server-side templating languages (EJS), and possess a strong grasp of modern development patterns including Agile, CI/CD, Kubernetes/Docker, and micro-services. While the primary focus is backend, an understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, ReactJS, and Redux is also beneficial. Strong communication, planning, multitasking, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role, which requires adaptability to changing priorities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on design/development experience
- Strong NodeJS, Python, using frameworks such as ExpressJS, Flask
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, & MongoDB
- Understanding of server-side templating languages such as EJS
