About The Position

We build AI for local governments, serving cities across 10+ states. Our AI assists city staff in researching, drafting reports, and benchmarking. Our mission is to augment every local government workflow with LLMs and harness the collective knowledge of US cities to improve decision-making. We have raised $4.5M from investors and our team of 7 is based in San Francisco, with a smaller presence in New York. Cities are crucial for quality of life and enabling the American Dream, but they face challenges like housing affordability, public safety, and economic opportunity. The current government software is outdated and hinders public servants; we aim to fix this by innovating and improving these systems.

Requirements

3+ years building production systems at high-velocity startups, from early stage through scaling
Track record of shipping and owning AI products end-to-end
Experience integrating AI into product workflows—using LLMs, building with agentic frameworks, or deploying AI-powered features
Bias toward action and pragmatic decision-making over perfect solutions
Comfortable context-switching between architecture decisions, implementation, and cross-functional collaboration
Proficiency with our tech stack including Python, TypeScript, FastAPI, Supabase, Selenium, NextJS, TailwindCSS, shadcn, LLM APIs
Based in SF or NY and want to work onsite 5 days a week

Responsibilities

Design and scale a horizontal AI agent that works across all departments, cities, and states.
Automatically process millions of government records to create agent-legible knowledge graphs.
