About The Position

Ostium is seeking a mid/senior-level backend engineer to contribute to ambitious goals and projects. This role involves building out a new entity service, which will act as a central configuration plane for assets, providers, model parameters, and more. The engineer will also work on a new, low-latency, highly reliable pricing system, collaborating with quants, infra, data, and other backend engineers to create a centralized pricing plane for all system components. The objective is to develop an extremely dynamic pricing system that provides users with the best possible price at any given moment, which is critical for the company's success. Ostium is looking for an ambitious and optimistic engineer dedicated to winning and willing to invest 100% effort.

Requirements

• Strong Golang engineering skills.
• Understanding of how to leverage AI effectively in the development process.
• Deep expertise with schema design, evolution, and iteration.
• Financial knowledge, experience with trading systems, and understanding of financial concepts.
• Experience with Postgres, NATs, Red Panda, GRPC, APIs, WebSocket, and other core modern services.
• Strongly leverages AI in the development process, but with extreme care and validation criteria.

Responsibilities

• Build out the entity service, a new central configuration plane for all assets, providers, model parameters, and more.
• Work on a new, low-latency, highly reliable pricing system.
• Collaborate with quants, infra, data, and backend engineers to build a centralized pricing plane for every part of the system.
• Develop an extremely dynamic pricing system to offer users the best possible price at any given moment.
• Build the Entity Service API, the core configuration plane for managing assets, mappings, market hours, providers, smart contract parameters, algo parameters, and more.
• Develop an Entity Service UI for proposing, reviewing, and commenting on changes, with strong ACL and user management.
• Assist in developing the new pricing engine to dynamically price every incoming transaction.
