About The Position

Ostium is looking for a mid/senior-level backend engineer to work on ambitious goals and projects. This engineer will work on building out our entity service, which will serve as a new central configuration plane for all assets, providers, model parameters, and more. Additionally, the role involves working on a new, low-latency, highly reliable pricing system. The engineer will collaborate with quants, infra, data, and other backend engineers to build a centralized pricing plane for every part of the system, aiming to create an extremely dynamic pricing system that offers users the best possible price at any given moment. This system is critical for the company's success, and they are seeking an ambitious and optimistic engineer willing to dedicate 100% effort.

Requirements

• Strong Golang engineering skills.
• Understanding of how to leverage AI effectively in the development process.
• Deep expertise with schema design, evolution, and iteration.
• Financial knowledge, experience with trading systems, and understanding of financial concepts.
• Experience with Postgres, NATs, Red Panda, GRPC, APIs, WebSocket, and other core modern services.
• Strongly leverages AI in the development process, but with extreme care and validation criteria.

Responsibilities

• Build out the entity service, a new central configuration plane for all assets, providers, model parameters, and more.
• Work on a new, low-latency, highly reliable pricing system.
• Collaborate with quants, infra, data, and backend engineers to build a centralized pricing plane for every part of the system.
• Assist in the new pricing engine to dynamically price every incoming transaction.
• Develop the Entity Service API, the core configuration plane for managing assets, mappings, market hours, providers, smart contract parameters, algo parameters, and more.
• Develop the Entity Service UI, providing a way for users to propose changes, review them, and leave comments, with strong ACL and user management.
