About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for slaughtering poultry missed by the automated machine process in preparation for disassembling the bird into required parts/portions. The role requires working in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations. The shift is Monday-Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, with a pay rate of $19.30 per hour. Benefits are available from day one, and on-the-job training is provided.

Requirements

Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.
Stand up to 8 hours.
May be exposed to heat (95ºF, 7ºC) and cold (45ºF, 4ºC).
Will be exposed to noise of > 85 decibels, CO2 and moving production equipment.
Work around raw blood and live animal odors.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
