About The Position

The Back Server / Food Runner is a foundational role within our fine dining team, designed for individuals who are committed to growth, professionalism, and mastering the art of service. This position supports servers and bartenders in delivering an exceptional guest experience while providing hands-on training and development toward advancement into a Server role. Success in this role comes from a strong team mindset, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and improve every shift.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong desire to learn, grow, and advance within the restaurant
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to high service standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
  • Ability to remain composed and make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Consistent, reliable attendance is essential, with limited tolerance for last-minute call-offs

Responsibilities

  • Support servers and bartenders in delivering polished, attentive service
  • Set and maintain tables with proper silverware, glassware, and presentation standards
  • Deliver food and beverages accurately, efficiently, and with attention to detail
  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth, timely service
  • Clear and reset tables quickly to maintain service flow
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, bar, and service areas
  • Assist with room service and carryout order preparation and delivery
  • Answer guest questions and provide knowledgeable, professional assistance
  • Operate and clean glassware and dishwashing equipment in accordance with sanitation standards
  • Assist with stocking and maintaining service areas
  • Accurately handle transactions when needed
