Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado's northern Front Range. This role is a Seasonal Back of House (BOH) Supervisor, a career-driven and creative culinary professional with strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage kitchen operations across multiple concepts. This individual is hands-on, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is either a graduate of a two-year or four-year accredited culinary or executive chef program with relevant experience or has a minimum of 8 years in high-quality kitchen environments. As a leader on the Food & Beverage team, the ideal candidate will lead, by example, mentors line staff, and contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture. Reports to the F&B BOH Manager.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Serve Safe Certified.
  • Minimum of 8 years in high-quality kitchen environments (if not a graduate of a culinary program).

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of a two-year or four-year accredited culinary or executive chef program with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support and oversee as assigned scheduling and job assignments for multiple concepts at the resort.
  • Responsible for and supervises team leads and members regarding food handling, including rotation, sanitation of all storage areas, labeling and dating, and ensures all storage areas are maintained.
  • Has the ability to be responsible for multiple outlets as part of Eldora’s food & beverage operation.
  • Ensure prep sheets and cooking instructions are accurate, concise and executed to standards.
  • Develops and ensures all recipes and standards are read, followed and executed
  • Takes responsibility for the products used in their outlet and manages it to ensure a quality product.
  • Advises upper management of anticipated problems.
  • Assists in the menu development process, ordering food, the creation, usage, and follow-through of prep lists, cleaning lists, and closing lists, & the direction and supervision of staff.
  • Sets the example by following all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.
  • All employees are expected to support Eldora’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for our guests.
