The Back End Maintainer works closely with Supervision to ensure optimum levels of manufacturing production.

Requirements

  • High School Education/GED
  • 2-3 year(s) experience with computer skills in inspecting, testing, packaging and high speed manufacturing environment.
  • Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills and working knowledge of various Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow verbal instructions to completion of assigned tasks.
  • Able to read and write (particularly process form instructions and data in reports).
  • Candidate must successfully pass a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
  • Previous mechanical and ability to adjust machines to maintain quality to customer specifications (eg. Formal coursework; relevant similar experience).
  • Ability to work safely and maintain good safety procedures.
  • Follow all JHA’s and SOP’s.
  • Proven ability to maintain an excellent Absenteeism and Tardiness Record.
  • Demonstrate good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervision (written and verbal).
  • Exhibited self-motivation to maintain correct process.
  • Basic Hand Tools required to start job and obtain other required tools within 3 months after qualification period concludes.
  • Ability to perform basic computer operations (eg. Navigation screens; accessing programs).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds manually using proper lifting techniques.
  • Ability to keep work area orderly in keeping with 6S principles (Sort, Set in place, Shine Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
