As a Technology Service Delivery Staff, you’ll be based in our Service Delivery Center, which is made up of high-performing US-based colleagues who work closely with our experienced advisory professionals. We deliver Technology project-based work and managed services to our clients. Here, you’ll work as part of a project team and will be responsible for the design, build/configuration, testing, analysis, delivery and support of Technology solutions. This position is fast-paced and ever-changing, which means you’ll need to be a flexible self-starter and be able to manage changing priorities and learning new and rapidly changing technology solutions. We are looking for Backend Engineers who will support the design and development of server-side services, APIs, and data integrations for our financial services clients. The team leverages Java, Spring and Spring Boot, RESTful and SOAP web services, microservices architectures, relational and NoSQL databases, messaging platforms such as Kafka, and cloud technologies to build secure, scalable, and high-performing back-end systems. This is an entry-level, hands-on role where you will build your skills across the full delivery lifecycle under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge of building server-side services, APIs, and integrations using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services, with support from experienced colleagues.
  • Foundational knowledge of microservices concepts and messaging or event streaming platforms such as Kafka or JMS.
  • Foundational knowledge of relational and NoSQL database design and SQL, including writing and tuning queries and stored procedures.
  • Foundational knowledge of containerization and cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.
  • Foundational understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Eagerness to learn new and rapidly changing technologies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in enterprise application development.
  • Exposure to Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming fundamentals.
  • Foundational knowledge of building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, and web services.
  • Exposure to SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Kafka or JMS.
  • Exposure to Git, CI/CD, and unit testing concepts.
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
