About The Position
Ampcus Inc. is seeking an experienced Back-End Developer specializing in Data Engineering. The role focuses on developing and maintaining robust data pipelines using Java, Scala, Spark, and AWS services. Requirements
- Strong understanding of back-end development and data engineering principles.
- Proven experience with Java, Scala, and Spark.
- Experience with AWS services.
- Strong understanding of event-based architecture.
- Hands-on experience with S3, Glue, Step Functions, and Lambda across multi-stage data pipelines.
- Understanding of EventBridge rules, S3 event notifications, event-triggered reruns, Step Functions scheduling and downstream job synchronization, Glue configuration and scaling, schema drift, and backfill handling.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain multi-stage data pipelines using AWS S3, Glue, Step Functions, and Lambda.
- Work with event-based architecture, including EventBridge rules and S3 event notifications, and handle reruns triggered by events.
- Configure Step Functions state machine scheduling and synchronize downstream jobs.
- Configure and scale AWS Glue jobs, and research Glue 4.0 Iceberg limitations when encountered.
- Build data validation components for data security and address schema drift and backfills.
