About The Position
TekWissen is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to lead the design, development, and scaling of core business services and APIs. The primary focus is building robust, high-performance backends using Ruby on Rails. As the platform scales toward distributed microservices, the associate will also interface with services written in multiple languages. Experience or familiarity with Java and Go (Golang) is a distinct advantage. This is a six-month temporary assignment based in Austin, Texas, with a hybrid work arrangement. TekWissen is a global workforce management provider headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, offering strategic talent solutions to clients worldwide. The client is an American multinational information technology services and consulting company.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails backend development, including core business services, API development, and backend engineering.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems, including scalable, high-performance backend services.
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on experience with or familiarity with Java and Go (Golang) programming, multi-language service integration, and backend development.
