About The Position

This is a full-time position where the Back Busser will be responsible for stocking the bar, maintaining a clean working environment, and assisting with bar services. The role involves organizing supplies, cleaning stations, and potentially serving customers. Additionally, the Back Busser will manage portable bars for events, including setup and cleaning, clear dishes and glassware from tables, clean and set tables, and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area. Support for wait staff and potential assistance with dishwashing may also be required.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a high school diploma and 0 to 2 years of experience.
  • Performs work under direct supervision.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations).
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; includes the ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
  • Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

  • Stock the bar with drinks, garnishes, and glassware.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Assist bar services by organizing supplies, cleaning stations/bar-top/tables, and inventory record keeping.
  • May assist serving customers and guests as directed by bartenders and/or bar management.
  • Moving portable bars into banquet rooms.
  • Cleaning portable bars at the close of the function.
  • Clears dish or glassware from tables during service.
  • Cleans and sets tables in between guests.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the dining area.
  • Stocks service areas and assists wait staff as needed.
  • May be expected to assist with dishwashing.
