About The Position

Arbour Counseling Services is seeking Bachelor's Level Clinicians for Full Time opportunities in their Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Worcester, MA. These programs are designed for individuals requiring a higher level of care, offering short-term, group-based services in a therapeutic, safe, and supportive environment. The goal is to promote emotional and psychological well-being. Arbour provides a warm, encouraging work environment that values healthy work dynamics and strives to offer compassionate and innovative care to youth and families. The PHP BA Clinician delivers direct services, which may include individual, group, family, or case management services. They participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and ensure services are within their scope of training and competence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related program, from an accredited college or University
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families
  • Must be proficient with written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have knowledge of community-based and state agencies with regard to behavioral health services.
  • Must be comfortable with a fast pace work environment and handling clients in crisis
  • Nonjudgmental ability to foster self-sufficiency using problem-solving and practical skills
  • Ability to establish trusting relationships through compassion, empathy and insight
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of clients from diverse cultural or linguistic backgrounds
  • Good time management skills necessary to maintain timely record keeping
  • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
  • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a liaison for children, parents and MA level clinicians regarding behavior
  • Takes an active role in leading check-in, check-out, psychoeducation and lunch for all children in the program
  • Oversee that all proper recreational activities are taking place throughout the program
  • Can assist with obtaining insurance authorizations and case management services
  • Monitors child and adolescent groups and quiet room and ensure client safety
  • Assists in clean up of therapy spaces
  • Accepts supervision and attends regularly scheduled team or supervision meetings
  • Requires minimal supervision regarding use of time and ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources
  • Oversee that all recreational supplies are ordered and continuously available for program use
