About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Bachelor's Level Mental Health Professional to join their team at South Central Correctional Center in Licking, Missouri. This role involves providing basic mental health treatment through psycho-educational groups and mental health rounds, assisting with discharge planning/re-entry, and supporting mental health staff under the supervision of licensed professionals within a correctional setting. The position is part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences (i.e. psychology, social work, counseling or related field) from an accredited educational institution required.
- Must show current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Experience conducting psycho-educational groups preferred.
- Experience in a correctional environment preferred.
- Minimum of one year experience with direct care for individuals with mental illness preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides basic mental health treatment in the form of psycho-educational groups and mental health rounds.
- Assists with discharge planning/re-entry.
- Serves in other supportive roles, as requested, to the mental health staff.
- Works under the supervision of licensed mental health staff.
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
