About The Position

Jovie is seeking reliable and joyful childcare providers for families in the North Suburbs. With over 20 years of experience, Jovie connects great caregivers with pre-screened families, offering both part-time flexibility and steady hours. The Chicagoland team is women-led and looking for friendly sitters to join them. This role involves caring for children aged 6 weeks to 13 years, creating engaging activities, ensuring a safe environment, and assisting with light clean-up. The position offers a variety of family interactions, making each day unique.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Prior childcare experience (infant experience preferred)
• 2 available weekdays between Monday-Friday (7am-7pm preferred)
• Reliable transportation (suburb sitters must have personal vehicle)
• Ability to pass a background check
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain — we help!)

Nice To Haves

• Spanish-speaking is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Caring for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years (based on your experience)
• Creating fun, engaging activities — crafts, games, and imaginative play
• Ensuring a safe, nurturing environment
• Helping with light clean‑up after meals and playtime
• Working with a variety of families — no two days are the same!
